Today I received a lovely surprise. Staring back at me from the computer screen were two new faces.
Let me introduce the newest members of our family:
Ida is turning 16 next week. She is from Indonesia. Her sponsor has not written to her since 2009, and she has now been placed into the Correspondence Program. This is where willing sponsors take on the role of writing to children who don't receive letters - Their sponsor continues to support them financially, but forfeits writing..
Medaly is 14 years old. She lives in Peru. She also is a correspondence child, and also hasn't received any letters since 2009. That is about to change girls!!
